The shapes are not characters as we expect or as we are used to in traditional forms of writing. It is down to the viewer to interpret what they see in the text and what they want to ‘read’, just as they would do if viewing an abstract work of art. Therefore the reader become part of the art work.

Asemic writing removes the differences between languages, writing systems, the reader’s culture, background and their intellectual ability. For once we are all the same.
